Renderhaus Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
Renderhaus is a Shopify app by Outwest Labs that lets a store's shoppers photograph their room and see it furnished with that store's products. This policy describes exactly what data the app processes, why, and for how long.
Data we process for merchants
- Your shop domain and Shopify session data (to run the app).
- Your product catalog — titles, images, prices, types, inventory status (to match and place products in renders).
- Billing happens entirely through Shopify; we never see payment details.
Data we process for shoppers
- Room photos. Uploaded photos are immediately re-encoded with all metadata removed — including location (GPS) data — before anything is stored. Photos are keyed to an anonymous session, never to a person.
- Generated room images created from those photos.
- Anonymous usage events — renders viewed, products tapped or added to cart — plus the anonymous cart token, and after a purchase the order number and line totals, so the merchant can see what their renders sold.
We never collect shopper names, email addresses, physical addresses, or payment information.
Who processes it
- Railway hosts the app and stores photos and renders.
- Replicate performs the image processing that produces renders; room photos and product images are transmitted to it for that purpose only.
- Shopify provides the platform APIs and billing.
- The storefront widget loads fonts from Google Fonts in the shopper's browser.
We do not sell data, run advertising, or use one store's data for another.
Retention and deletion
- Room photos and generated renders are deleted after 12 months.
- Attribution analytics are deleted after 24 months.
- Uninstalling the app deletes all of a shop's data — catalog, photos, renders, and analytics.
- We honor Shopify's privacy webhooks: customer redaction requests remove the related order attribution, and shop redaction removes any remaining shop data.
